Unit Introduction
In this lesson we will study some simple methods to locate subject related teaching and learning resources. To be able to do this we will introduce advanced internet search skills, particularly Google Advanced Search

Assessment instructions
Let's see if you have the skills to identify subject specific resources. Use the word processor template below to structure your assignment.
- The template first asks you to identify a section of the syllabus for which you require new resources. You need to type the specific objective into, or copy and paste it from a digital version of the CAPS subject syllabus document, the relevant box.
- Next the template requires you to insert the URLs (web addresses) of at least five resources you found on the web using Google Advances Search that support the specific objective.
- Finally, the template requires you to insert the URL of at least one open resource that also addresses the needs of the syllabus.
- To complete the assignment write a paragraph about your experiences. Do you consider the resources you found quality resources? What was easy and what frustrating about searching for syllabus resources this way?
- Save your document and upload your assignment using the assignment submission tool below.
