  • Unit Introduction

    As we have seen, the internet is a very useful tool for the classroom. It gives you access to content such as videos, pictures, and research. It is also a communication tool. But the internet can be dangerous if you are not aware of the threats that exist.

    This unit will teach you about internet safety. It is important to know how to be safe on the internet because you need to keep your private information to yourself and make sure that your students are not falling victim to crime on the internet.

    For this portfolio exercise, you are going to write out a lesson plan. 

    Mr. Mbalula has learnt all about internet safety but he is worried that his students might become victims of cybercrime. Using your own lesson plan template, write out a lesson plan for his students in which you include the following:

    • Why is internet safety important?
    • 3 threats on the internet
    • How to prevent them
