ICT Integration for Subject Advisors

1: Introduction and orientation

• Aim of module 1

  The aim of this module is for the participants to understand the key responsibilities of a subject advisor and to highlight the benefits of using ICTs to execute on these responsibilities within the context of existing and relevant educational policies.

  • To clarify the responsibilities of a subject advisor
  • To generate ideas of how to support teachers by engaging with the relevant educational policies
  • To provide solutions on how ICTs can be used to support subject advisors' duties.

  Think of that one teacher whose performance is low. You have done all that you can think of to support him / her but you don't seem to be succeeding. Apply your knowledge of the four highlighted roles to support the teacher through using ICTs.
