This unit focuses on how teachers can enjoy lifelong professional development opportunities by linking to teacher networks and online courses.By the end of this unit you will be able to:

Part 1- Join a MOOC
In the lesson you were introduced to the following three organisations that offer high quality MOOCs.
- Choose one these organisation and create an account for yourself
- Find a course that interests you- this could be in the field of Education in general or it could be within your subject matter area
- Join the next available course

Part 2- Create a Personal Development Plan
- Reflect on your own professional development learning goals and consider what your ultimate goal in education is to be, be it a headmaster, district official, government education advisor or minister. Create a PowerPoint presentation or Word Document to showcase this information.
- Next, conduct an Internet web search and identify three different learning opportunities that you wish to explore in helping you reach your goals. These may be formal or informal learning opportunities. In your PowerPoint presentation or Word Document, create list the basic details of each option (i.e. name of learning opportunity, website address and brief description of each).
