Assessment
Mrs Khumalo needs some ideas on how she can introduce MS Word in her teaching. You are going to help Mrs Khumalo to feel more comfortable using technology, specifically MS Word, in her classroom.
- CLICK HERE to download the portfolio template that you will complete and submit. (The document will appear at the bottom left hand-side of your screen).
- Imagine that Mrs Khumalo teaches the same subjects as you. Using the space provided in the portfolio template give Mrs Khumalo some suggestions on how to use MS Word in her classroom.
- Next you will be required to speak to your colleagues in your subject area at school for some additional ideas on how you can use MS Word in the classroom. You will include this information in the portfolio assignment.
- The final part of this portfolio assessment is for you to give some careful thought as to how you will be using the new skills you have gained in MS Word in your own subject area. As evidence, you will be asked to submit a lesson plan where you used MS Word to either prepare a lesson or showing how MS Word was used by the learners.
Helpful hint:In addition to getting ideas from your colleagues at school, try doing some of your own internet research to find ideas on how to use MS Word in teaching and learning.
