In Technology, the objectives talk about solving real life issues. For term one in grade 8 learners design electric pylons to reduce izinyoka which result in loadshedding. Learners do understand what are other causes of loadshedding but in this case they focus on shortage of well crafted electric pylons, hence they design strong and stable pylons.
